Back in 2003, I completed my very first Trek as a member of Team Adobe. Not only was it an amazing (and fun!) experience, but it was pivotal to my health condition of chronic asthma, which actually came under control for the first time in my life due to the cycling I was doing to prepare for the Trek. This opened up a world to me of not only cycling, but eventually of skating too. This year, for my third Trek, I plan to bike with a new team, the Rat City Rollergirls, but the cause is the same. The work the American Lung Association is doing to improve air quality and quality of life is very important to me, and I owe a lot to this cause.
