I recently learned that Rhode Island is facing an asthma epidemic, with over 100,000 Rhode Islanders suffering from this disease, including tens of thousands of children. Think about it: 100,000 means one in every ten people; people in your family, your friends, your neighbors, and your co-workers. Asthma affects all people of all ages, and is the number 1 cause for children missing school.
I've joined hundreds of others throughout our area raising funds for the American Lung Association® and the fight against Asthma. RI will host the first annual Asthma Walk on May 1 in Roger Williams Park at 10 am. Please join me in my efforts to make a difference for the 100,000 Rhode Islanders and the estimated 24 million across the country who suffer from asthma. Your donation to the American Lung Association can help make a difference in the research efforts to find a cure for Asthma.
Thank you so much for your support. |
