Did you know that lung disease death rates continue to increase while other leading causes of death have declined? Did you also know that lung diseases and breathing problems are the leading cause of infant deaths in the United States? I have decided that lung disease is an issue I want to support personally, so I will be participating in Breathe California's Bike for Breath charity ride on July 8th this year. I hope you will join me in supporting Breathe California's fight against lung disease by making a pledge to my personal fundraising efforts. Together we can reduce air pollution, tobacco use (especially among teens!), and deaths from lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, bronchitis and cancer. Your support will help Breathe California strengthen the program, services and advocacy that they have provided in the San Francisco and San Mateo areas.
