We've joined hundreds of others throughout the Bay Area to raise funds for the American Lung Association and the fight against asthma. Please join us in our efforts to make a difference for the estimated 24 million individuals who suffer from asthma. Many people don't realize that asthma is the #1 cause of hospitalizations and school absences among children due to chronic illness. In fact, 1 out of every 10 children in the Bay Area has asthma, and in some communities, asthma rates are as high as 1 in 6 kids. To help combat asthma, we've decided to raise money for the American Lung Association by participating in its San Francisco Asthma Walk on October 8.
