Modify Fundraising page |
Once you have registered as a participant for sporting event, you have the option of creating a personal page for fundraising. Default page will be created for each participant. You can modify this in 2 ways. |
1. At the time of registration - From the confirmation page, Click on the link "Create a personal page". If you have put a username and password while registering, you will be redirected to a page where you can edit your default page, otherwise you will be redirected to a page where you need to put a username and password. Once you have created username and password, will be redirected to the modify page. |
2. After registration - With your username and password created during registration, login to the system and once logged in, you will be redirected to your various options page and click on the "Modify Fundraising page" and here, you can modify the page. |
How to modify |

Change the image in 2 ways:- 1. Click on the "Select" button below the image (takes him to another page), select an image from the existing image gallery and click on "Assign" button. 2. Upload your own image - Have the image ready in your computer Only gif and jpeg images are acceptable (.gif or .jpg or .jpeg) The maximum acceptable file size for image is 100 Kb: Larger Uploaded images will be automatically resized to fit in a 300 x 270 pixel space. ![]() Click on the "Select" button below the image (takes him to another page) and locate your image by clicking on the "Browse" button. If you know the location of image in your computer (go to the image properties eg: in Windows operating system, select the image and if right clicked the mouse, path and name appended with extension - gif or jpeg - C:\images\test.gif), you can directly enter the path in the textbox provided without clicking on browse button. Once path of the image is loaded on the textbox near to "Image", click on "Upload Image" button. This may take some time (depending on your internet connection speed) as the image has to be resized and uploaded to the server. |
You have succeeded in changing the image if you see the required image in the edit page. Click on "Preview" button to see how everything looks (to be page will be shown in a new window - Close this window). |
***Remember to save if you have made any changes to your page. |
If you get the confirmation page, modification of personal page has been successful. Click on "View your fundraising page" to view your page. |
Personal page is ready to be sent out !! |

Modify Team Fundraising page |
If you are the captain of a team, you have the ability to modify your team fundraising page. Procedure is same as modifying personal fundraising page as explained above. |

Send out E-mails |
Once you have registered as a participant for sporting event, you have the option of sending invitations by e-mail from the system. Your personal page link will be sent with these e-mails. |
You are encouraged to send e-mails from the system rather than using your own e-mail program. E-mailing from the system will help you to track them later - how many e-mails you have sent, how many have opened your e-mail and how much money you have raised through these e-mails. |

How to get URL of your personal page |
If you are using your own e-mail program like Outlook Express or Netscape, you may need URL of your page. To get this, |
If you have username and password - Login to the system, click E-mail your personal fundraising page URL and in this page, you can find the URL. Else Click "Sponsor participant" or "Pledge" in the menu and search for your name. If you have registered for the event successfully, search results will have your name. Click your name and you are in your personal page. Just copy URL from the address bar of your browser. |
Prerequisites |
1. To send e-mails, you are required to have an e-mail address. (If not, some e-mail systems will treat this as a junk e-mail and may not reach the recipient - so, "from e-mail address" is mandated in the system). |
2. List of people with their names and e-mail addresses whom you want to send e-mails to. If there are some wrong e-mail addresses, you will be receiving the bounced messages in your "From e-mail address". |
How to have an address book of your own in the system |
1. If you would like to add addresses to the list one by one, you just need to click "Address Book" link in the e-mail page and here, you can add addresses as many you want one by one. - Recommended for fewer lists. |
![]() NOTE: If the source file is a CSV file which you have made your own, you will be asked to map each column of the file with first name, last name and e-mail address. |
Finally, how to send e-mails to your contacts |
1. Put your name and e-mail address below "Your Name" and "Your E-mail" correspondingly. |
![]() a) Click the "Address Book" link, this will open up a new window with your contacts. Select the addresses which you want to send to and click "Send E-mails to Selected List". New window will be closed and the recipient addresses you have selected will be automatically populated in the recipients fields. You can modify or delete any of this here before sending. (This will not modify your address book.) b)Other way is manually typing the recipient addresses. If you would like to send the e-mail to more than one person, select the number of recipients and now the page will refresh and you will be able to put as many recipient addresses as you have selected. eg:- if you have selected recipients 5, there will be 5 text boxes to put the e-mail addresses. Type in all the names and e-mail addresses. |
3. Put a subject and message for the e-mail. You can select one from the available fundraising templates and then edit it or you can put message and subject of your own. Changing the template will refresh your page and you may loose the changes you have made to the message. You have the option to save your template by clicking "Save message" - this will open a new window and you will be asked to give a unique name for this template. This helps you to get this message when you log in back to the system later. |

URL to your personal fundraising page will be added at the end of the message. |

Send out Team - Emails |
If you are the captain of a team, you have the ability to send URL of your team fundraising page to either your team members or others. Procedure is same as sending personal fundraising page as explained above. You can obtain the URL of your team page by clicking "View all teams" link in the menu select your team and get the URL from address bar of your browser. |
