ASTHMA CONFERENCE
Taking Control of Asthma:
A Community Effort
Purpose
To improve the quality of care for children with asthma in the Inland Empire.
Conference Objectives
· Update healthcare professionals on current asthma guidelines and provide tools for patient education.
· Better understand multi-cultural issues impacting patient care.
· Learn more about the Breathmobile® program coming to San Bernardino County schools and have
the opportunity to tour the bus.
· Provide school nurses with best practices, strategies and resources for managing asthma at the school site.
PACE Program Objectives
Participants will:
· Attain increased skills to educate and counsel families on asthma management
· Improve their therapeutic skills in treating childhood outcomes
· Increase knowledge to help improve asthma patient outcomes
· Improve their communication skills
· Have an outline of the various
components of cultural diversities

Registration
Conference fee is $25.  Fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments, dynamic speakers and exhibitors, access to the entire beautiful grounds and free ample parking.

BRN:  Loma Linda University School of Public Health is approved by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number 01369.  Event approved for 6hours.
 
CHES:  Loma Linda University School of Public Health is designated as a provider of Category I continuing education contact hours in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.  NCHEC Multiple Event Provider (MEP) Number CA0024.  Event approved for 6contact hours.
