Healthy Home Training for Building Professionals
This seven week course for construction and design professionals focuses on incorporating "green", sustainable, healthy and energy-efficient building techniques in residential construction. Extensive in-depth information and resources will be discussed which can be directly applied to daily practices. All topics address costs associated with and practical applications of healthy building techniques. By attending the Healthy House Training workshop series on Indoor Air Quality, builders, designers, and other professionals can learn cost-effective, healthy choices in construction techniques, visit a model healthy home and meet their customer's needs. Classes are taught by experts in the field in the region.
When and where will the classes be held?
Thursdays, 4:30 -7:00 pm
10/2/2008- 11/13/2008
There is also a visit to construction sites on Saturday 11/1/2008; you will get an opportunity to learn more in the field and apply what we are learning.
Registration
You must register in advance. Class size is limited to 40 people, so register early. You can register online or by phone (call 206-441-5100 ex. 14). Registration deadline is September 30, 2008. No cancellations or refunds will be accepted after September 30, 2008. Cancellations and refunds are subject to a $20.00 processing fee.

Guild Member or Master Builder Association Member: $525
Registration after 9/1/2008: $625
Partial scholarships:
If you are applying for a scholarship, please submit a short essay (500 words or less) describing why this course is important to you and how you will use the information in your work and with the community at large.
The scholarship is worth $300.00.
Applications will be accepted until September 1, 2008.
