Join us and Blow the Whistle on Asthma at 9 a.m. on October 11, 2003 in Ann Morrison Park. Take a short walk to support more than 140,000 Idahoans who suffer from Asthma. There will be for fun, food, games, music and entertainment for the whole family at the finish line party! A BBQ lunch will be provided by American Catering, Inc. for all walk participants and volunteers. There will be bounce houses, balloons and face painting for the kids, and a number of exciting raffle prizes for the adults!
Grand Prize!!! The individual who raises the most money for the Asthma Walk will receive two (2) round-trip tickets to anyplace Southwest Airlines flies!
LIVE REMOTE! Tune in to 670AM KBOI on the morning of Friday, October 3rd to hear a live promotion for the Asthma Walk! The remote will be on the corner of 16th & State (in the Albertson's parking lot). Stop by and drop off your donations or buy some raffle tickets!
Raffle Tickets will be sold by team captains and at the walk for $1 each or 6 for $5. Prizes include a 2003-04 Bogus Basin Ski Pass, a high-filtration backpack vacuum from ProTeam, a night at the Anniversary Inn, one night and dinner for two at Cactus Pete's Resort Casino, an indoor air purification system from National Allergy Supply, Roaring Springs Day Passes, and a gift certificate from Lee Read Jeweler's.
Funds from the Asthma Walk will help to expand the Open Airways for Schools programs, Asthma Day and Residential Camps, Asthma Screenings and to fund research for better asthma treatments.
