16th Annual Cold Turkey Trot
East Lansing, Michigan State University, IM West Turf Arena
1 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2003
FEE: $17 (early fee) $24 on race day
This is a 5K run/walk/wheel on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. Dedicate the run/walk/wheel to a tobacco user to encourage him or her to quit. Dedicate your run to a recent quitter. Upon completion of the run/walk/wheel, a motivational certificate will be mailed to the tobacco user or recent quitter.
Entry fees are as follows:
ENTRY FEE AND PACKET PICK-UP
- $17 for entries received by October 31
- $20 for entries received by November 1-8
ON RACE DAY
- $24 per person with T-shirt
- $17 per person without T-shirt
- Entry fee is waived for those collecting $50 or more in pledges for the American Lung Association of Michigan
- Pre-registration fee includes a T-Shirt.
Registration will be held from 11 am until 12:30 pm on race day. Pre-registered racers may pick up race packets on Friday, November 7, from 12 noon to 4 pm at MSU's Olin Health Center Dining Room, or Saturday, November 8, from 1 to 5 at Playmakers (Meridian Mall).
RACE BEGINS AT 1 PM ON THE MSU CAMPUS AT THE IM WEST TURF ARENA
One-month Michigan Athletic Club membership will be presented to overall male and female race winners. Frozen turkeys will be awarded to all age group winners (overall winners are excluded from age group prizes). Medals to first, second and third place winners. A trophy will be awarded to the team in each category with the most registrants.
