Were the high gas prices incentive enough to leave your vehicle at home? How about this fact for incentive: Washington, D.C. recently received a failing grade in the State of the Air report, but you can turn that "F" into an "A" when you join the American Lung Association and our partners with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association for the Clean Air Ride on June 18, 2005! This metropolitan area-wide event, which starts at the FDR Memorial Park in D.C., will feature a non-competitive bike ride with option of 20 or 40 mile paved biking trails. This event will be held RAIN or SHINE!

 

To register, please click on the registration button to the left or at the top of the page. Save $10 with early registration by June 10th for a low price of just $20. After which, the registration will be $30 dollars. In addition to the registration fee, there is a minimum fundraising effort of just $75. Your donations will be assisting programs and initiatives that will seek to support the improvement of air quality in our region.

We have a variety of incentives, gifts and prizes for your participation in this event. All bikers who raise the fundraising minimum will recieve a one-week pass to all Washington Sport Clubs facilities an official Clean Air Ride T-shirt, route sheets and ride support.

 

Our official fitness sponsor, Washington Sports Clubs, will be offering the top fundraising team three-month memberships, a six-month membership for the top fundraising team captain and a one-year membership to the top fundraiser overall. There will be other exciting prizes and gift bags the day of the event as well.

Be sure to form a team of riders because while you can ride as an individual, your team of three or more riders increases your chances to recieve more bonuses and prizes.
