Mission: The American Lung Association of Vermont's mission is to promote lung health and prevent lung disease through education, advocacy, and research. Two key programs supported by the Asthma Walk include:
1) Cutting edge asthma research through the American Lung Association Asthma Clinical Research Center at the University of Vermont - one of only 20 in the United States and the only one serving a rural area.
2) The American Lung Association of Vermont's "Champ Camp For Kids With Asthma" is located in No. Hero, VT and provides children between the ages of 8-12 who live from moderate to severe asthma with the opportunity to attend a traditional summer camp to learn how to better manage their disease.
Camp is provided at full scholarship to families!
