Welcome to the 2006 Clean Air Challenge Website!
"An Ordinary Ride in an Extraordinary Place"
The Clean Air Challenge 120 is one of Alaska's premier cycling events. It's a two-day touring vacation from Houston to Talkeetna and back to be held on May 13th and 14th. It's fun, non-competitive, and for people of all ages and abilities! The ride starts and finishes at Houston High School and travels north on the Parks Highway to Talkeetna and back. Each day there are three well-stocked rest stops, Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles available as needed, and bike mechanics on hand with parts and expertise. Trekkers stay overnight at the beautiful Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and are treated to delicious food, live music, and a Saturday evening celebratory program in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Participation in the Clean Air Challenge 120 is limited to the first 400 registrants, all of whom must raise the pledge minimum of $450 by April 28, 2006. Please note our EARLY BIRD registration fee of $40 through March 31, 2006. ($50 thereafter)
