2006 Lake Tour Bike Trek

June 2, 3, & 4, 2006

Register today for this year's Lake Tour Bike Trek. This special event is designed to raise funds for the American Lung Associations of Illinois and Wisconsin, and is a Great Ride for a Reason!  The American Lung Association has some exciting changes this year, and are dedicating our ride to our Alpha-1, Lung Cancer, and Smoke-Free initiatives. We have special guests who will be us, including Patrick Reynolds, President of the Foundation for a Smokefree America.

 

The Lake Tour Bike Trek is the best event of its type in the Midwest, and truly is the Premier Midwest Bike Ride!  Each June for the past 20 years, cyclist of all levels have gathered to ride their bicycles approximately 50 miles a day for three days through scenic rural communities of northern Illinois and the breathtaking, beautiful rolling hills of southern Wisconsin. 

 

This year there are two starting locations for the Lake Tour Bike Trek: McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL and Fort Health Care in Ft. Atkinson, WI.

 

Along the route, participants will enjoy the unbelievable view of six lakes highlighted by sparkling Lake Geneva in Wisconsin.  Each night, participants are pampered at the famous Abbey Resort and Spa on Lake Geneva.  During the stay at the Abbey, our participants are often seen in the resort pool or hot tub, on the tennis courts, at the spa, on the golf course, or just relaxing on the outdoor patio.

 

REGISTER FOR THE THREE DAY TREK: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 2, 3 & 4, 2006.
 
 $45 "Early bird" Registration fee before March 15th and $65 from March 16th through the registration deadline of April 25th.
 
 The minimum fund raising goal is $450.  On the day of the Trek, at the check-in table, you will be required to summit pledges totaling $450 or leave a "hold check".
 
REGISTER FOR THE TWO DAY TREK: Saturday and Sunday, June 3 & 4, 2006
 
 $45 "Early bird" Registration fee before March 15th and $65 from March 16th through the registration deadline of April 25th.
 
The minimum fund raising goal is $325.  On the day of the Trek, at the check-in table, you will be required to summit pledges totaling $325 or leave a "hold check".
   
The "hold check" will be held for one month without being deposited.  During the month after the event, riders finish collecting pledges promised to them.  When your collection is complete and we have received all your required pledges, we then return your "hold check".
