Advocacy Day, Thursday, March 8, 2007
Advocacy Day is an all-day event where American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago volunteers, staff, board members, and community partners travel to our state capital, Springfield, for a day of advocating and educating our legislators about important lung health issues.
Tentative Advocacy Day Schedule:
Arrive at ALAMC at 5:45am
Coach Buses leave promptly at 6:00am
Complimentary Breakfast from 8:30am-9:30am
Presentation on key policy issues and "Dos and Don'ts" of Meeting with Your Legislator from 9:30am-10:30am
Individual Visits with Legislators from 11:00 am-1:00 pm
Complimentary Lunch from 1:00-1:45pm
Coach Buses leave promptly at 2:00 pm
Arrive at ALAMC at approximately 5:00 pm
In Springfield we will meet at the Howlett Building, 501 S. Second St. in the Hall of Flags.
