HOW WILL THE MONEY BE RAISED? Funds with be raised in two basic ways?
1. Event sponsorship donations will be solicited from companies. (Generally, cash sponsorship donations in amounts ranging from $500 to $10,000 made by local companies account for 10% to 30% of the total amount raised from the Walk.

2. Donations collected by walkers participating in the Walk. (Generally, these type donations account for between 70% and 90% of the total raised from a Walk.)

HOW ARE WALKERS RECRUITED FOR THE EVENT? Almost all of the walkers in the Walk will participate as members of a family or business-based team. These teams are organized by "Team Captains." The typical walker is a family member, close friend or co-worker of the team captain. Team captains are generally individuals who have been directly affected by asthma in some way.

WHAT SUPPORT WILL THE ALA PROVIDE TEAM CAPTAINS? The ALA will provide every Team Captain all the materials, training, encouragement and support that they will need to be successful in their teambuilding and fundraising efforts.
